WE'RE SEEKING A COMMUNITY CHAIR FOR VMC

Do you love building meaningful relationships, creating connection, and bringing people together around a mission? We’re looking for a Community Chair to help strengthen and grow our community experience—especially through virtual programming, engagement, and connection.

Virtual Mom Collective is a nationally recognized nonprofit created by mothers, for mothers — and women for women. We’ve been recognized as a Top 10 Nonprofit by Entreprenista, received awards from the City of Homestead, are proud Thelma Gibson Award recipients, and received a proclamation from the Miami-Dade County Mayor recognizing VMC and our annual Bridging the Gap fundraiser. We’ve also been featured on Mom 2.0 as influencer partners and panelists—highlighting the impact of programs created by mothers, for mothers.

• Lead community programming by planning and running virtual events, workshops, and networking experiences 
• Refresh and elevate existing VMC programs while helping develop new experiences as we grow 
• Strengthen engagement and belonging through discussion prompts, community touchpoints, resource-sharing, and support 
• Build relationships with aligned creators, partners, and thought leaders (no “influencer” label required—this is about connection) 
• Collaborate with the executive team to align community strategy with VMC goals and member needs 

This role includes supporting at least one of the following community growth areas as part of your chair responsibilities (aligned to your strengths and season): volunteer coordination, outreach/interviews, and/or donation/fundraising moments. We’ll decide together what you’ll own so expectations are clear and sustainable.

• Experience in community building, programs, events, or membership spaces (virtual or in-person) 
• Strong communication skills and a welcoming presence 
• Reliable follow-through and comfort collaborating as part of a mission-driven team 
• Passion for supporting moms and families — women for women (supporters/allies welcome too) 

• Board meetings: ~1x/month (virtual) 
• Community check-ins: 1–2x/month (virtual) 
• Event/program support: flexible; heavier lift leading into key moments 
• Occasional in-person collaboration/content days when possible (Miami-based), but not required
